Pre-School 'Stay & Play' Club

Inspired heavily by the Reggio Emilia Approach to child development (and incorporating aspects of Montessori and Steiner teaching styles), Each child is given a personalised development program allowing children to flourish based on exploration, repetition, and individual needs. We use music and singing as a learning tool. We incorporate nature and seasonality, and we often find ways of incorporating what we see and do outside into inside learning.

Within the setting we do arts & crafts, cook, play with a variety of educational games, read stories, and use flash cards. We organise outings to local parks, playgrounds, canal, farm, libraries, soft play centres, and theatres. We also attend various local classes (e.g. weekly drama class) which are all included in the price.

Our aim is to prepare each child for junior school by developing their motor skills, communication and language skills and general knowledge. We work on (amongst other things) counting to 20, knowing colours, reciting the days of the week & months, and dressing themselves before they turn 4 years old.
